You only have to look at the like of bodies such as the Carlyle Group, The Tri-lateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations etc and you see that ex- sectaries of State, Prime Ministers etc seem to progress into a 'higher' Government after their public careers .. Individuals like Kissenger have been "advising" every Government since Nixon. You also have to see how all eligible candidates all seem to come from the same stable - so there has to be King-Makers in the background.
and thats before you even look at powerful lobby groups.

They must fear Direct Democracy that that been proposed by Mike Gravel like nothing else as it is the only real threat to the Status Quo.

The government controls the country but the government is controlled by people.

The government is controlled by the Federal Reserve (the name federal means nothing there is nothing federal about them) They are the banks of the world, the richest of the rich, the people who don't believe they should be held accountable. Think of our government as the Mafia. The Democrats are one family, the Republicans another and the President is the head of the Mafia and the Federal Reserve pulls all of their strings and we have nothing to say about it.
