With my high school ex-boyfriend I was pretty much could have been defined nympho - sex was great and I loved it. However, in a later relationship I for the first time found myself gradually and increasingly not wanting sex. I thought - how odd why this change? When I thought about it it was because I wasn't getting what I wanted from sex and it was getting to a point of why bother if my needs are never being met. It began to feel like my "duty" to please him (have always held an unacknowledged fear that if I don't give my man sex he will search for it elsewhere), however I was not getting what I wanted from it. I wanted to achieve climax too however things never lasted long enough (sorry guys, i know that's a harsh one but sometimes you're just too quick, although i'd never tell that to you directly that's just mean) and he rarely if never took the time to focus on me - he was a selfish lover. Also, another component I wanted was to feel connected to him and have it be "making love" not just f**king - however I seldom got that as he mainly only focused on fulfilling his fantasies and things felt like they were way too influenced by mainstream porn.
I know that's a lot of detail but you asked and i'm giving you a honest, straightforward answer to WHY I didn't want sex...I never was fully satisfied when things were over and rarely were my emotional needs met as well. I don't think women (speaking for myself) need to always be wined and dined - just we need to feel genuinely loved, respected, appreciated, and our men need to learn that doing the dishes or laundry can be one of the greatest turn-ons for us women. I know it's cliche but treat us as you would want to be treated and we generally will reciprocate.

because its messy,
we are tired and don't want to be bothered, men always want to at inappropriate times....like ten minutes before company is going to arrive.
Or while we are busy cooking, or cleaning.
Or when the old boy has been working outside all day and doesn't smell like a rose.
A stiff breeze puts a man in the mood, women take alot longer to be semi interested. and alot of guys don't want to bother with the pleasantries.

Perhaps if you took the time to get her in mood she might be more receptive, girls don't just get turned on at the mere sight of a penis.

~~~Oh Gold Digger, you poor thing...I'm not being sarcastic, I really do feel bad for you. ~~~
To answer your question,though, she could be uninterested, not feeling well, saving herself for marriage, had a bad experience before, she could be self conscious about her shape or body type, she might not want to seem unladylike, any number or reasons, really.
