No. When I used to live in the south we left our doors unlocked and took everything out because people were smashing windows for change in the console. I am sorry to hear that!!! That so sux. And you were talking a while back about the increase in crime....
You might want to think about alarms or even the fake flashing light that looks like an alarm.

YES--- Me & my 3 friends were in San Francisco @ a club & someone broke the window & took all of our purses. We think that they were watching us get out of the car because all of our purses were in the trunk.
He ended up leaving with:
4 Digital camera's (2 brand new)
$300 in cash
4 Credit cards
3 Cell phones
Well over $400 in make-up
MUCH MUCH MORE
& pretty much our whole lives! You know how us women feel about our purses. Ughhh, i still can't get over it! Karma's a ***** though! Their time will come around!

yes and my husbands briefcase was in it at the time. They got away with $6000.00 and 32 titles for the cars on our lot! we got new titles but never got the money back. My husband learned his lesson and has never left his briefcase in the car again. To beat it all it was parked under a street light.
We have also had the side window broke into for the change in the cup holder, I think it was like 2.00 !

in my first married apartment, cars would get broken into during thunderstorms at night. They broke into mine and took my jacket and my cds. I guess that's the first thing you want in a rainstorm. Most frustrating was the police response. Basically, sh$$ happens, here's a number for your insurance claim, please deal with it. *click*

Nope, never. I've been lucky I guess. But I do keep my car garaged, so that may have something to do with it...

Fortunately for me, that has never happened. Sorry about your boyfriend's car. I hope they find out who did it.
