I have a halloween costume contest to attend this sunday and the only thing i still need to do is paint my bald cap. I tried spray paint, but once it dried it all cracked and came right off....So now I'm back to square one!!.....Someone help!!!

Yikes... I use MAKE-UP to color bald-caps. It's flexible and should work fine for a contest. First though, I mold the cap out of latex in the correct COLOR !!
IF you're trying to turn a Flesh-Color cap "Alien Green" perhaps... I'd suggest going to an Art Store like "Aaron Bros." and buying some Liquitex Acrylic art paints... they will be flexible (latex based), and should adhear long enough to survive the contest.

i reckon if you put it on someones head so it is stretched and spray paint it the colour you want, because it will stay that colour and there is hundreds if not thousands of colours to choose from and its cheap =)
