Laughter can be categorised into 2
- when u r happy u laugh
-U laugh at other ppl's shortcomings or failures
the first is good but the concern should be on the second one coz it can lead to losing relations n being overconfident abt urself ,which in turn will b harmful to u in long term.

Laughter is not always bound to happiness, true enough. But I have laughed, at least inside, during times when I was profoundly sad.
The death rites of many cultures (including our own in some areas) involve celebrations, to remember the joy that the departed person brought to those who knew said person. Are these people sad? Most likely. But their celebration of the persons life is what gives them the ability to laugh.
I hope all of this rambling has helped, because I lost my point along the way. LOL

Laughter is not something bound to the emotion of happiness. It can come from anywhere. In the moment you probably are at a point where something is making you happy whether it is a joke among many, yourself, or at the expensive of another or a happy thought. However it does not mean that you are truly happy.

For most people, happiness is just a short vacation from reality. Happiness is forgetting (putting to the back of the mind) the serious, important and troubling things of life.
Criminals condemned to die the morning can spend the night laughing at jokes and playing cards.
Joy is different. Joy is happiness with a good ending assured.

Not in life as whole but that moment when one laughs. He may laugh at shortcomings of others and feel proud that he does not have them. This sense of happiness is just false and does not hand for long.

You can laugh and be unhappy. When I'm feeling very unhappy, I'm not going to hold in a laugh if I see something hilarious. I mean, come on.

happiness i'm not always sure.. i mean when you're sad and a friend tries to make you laugh. i think it's not really happiness, merely instant euphoria.. but i think it can help.. or when people smile to you while wlaking to or back to/from work without any good reason.. just instant euphoria...
