people give you thumbs down and you don't know why???
they just go down the list and put everyone as a thumbs down....

It's mostly 15 yr old kids or adults who haven't matured yet.
It used to bother me immensely but now I'm over it.
What I hate more is when some idiot reports your innocent question and it gets deleted.

That damned Thumb-Down fairy is at it again!
You put all your effort into answering a good question, then someone gives you a bad rating for no apparent reason, and you're thinking WTF?. Everyone has different opinions, I choose a "thumbs down" only when someone is being offensive, and a thumbs up when someone gives an interesting answer. I think Y!A should let us have an option where we can give reason for rating someones answer.

i only do it if something is offensive, like a racial slur or an insult that's un-called for. Otherwise, i'd rather spend my time giving a thumbs up to people who's answers i like and/or agree with

Hmmm! I see what you mean. I figure they have nothing better to do and it keeps them busy.
Really sad when you're reduced to giving thumbs down as a way of spending your time.

Not really, but I think that if I noticed or cared when people put thumb's down on my answers, I would be annoyed by it, yeah.
To sum it up, I just say what I say, regardless of who likes it or not. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, especially on Yahoo! Answers.

Yeah! Its frustating I don't no what they get by giving us thumbs down. Thy don't get points, then y do they do it, and tat too on ans which r absolutely ok and nothing abusive.
