In terms of health, I guess it would be the same as having heterosexual sex. You have a chance to be infected by a STD either way when you do not practice safe sex.
In terms of religion, you have to see where you are and what you believe in. Many countries ban sex amongst the same gender, anal sex etc. etc. so in legal terms... no, not that safe too.

If for woman and woman, then is safe and ok, but both of them must be clean and no AIDS.
If for man and man, then this will always not safe and very dangerous because they are playing "back side"...

First of all i want to say that Cutelif is wrong. Aids/hiv are more common in heteosexual women than in homisexual men and females. It no more dangerous than sex with people of opposite genders. If you want to be very careful, wrap yourselves in bubble wrap first. :)
