Perched atop the treacherous bluff, the man agonized over his fate. (here bluff means cliff)

The possibility of her husband bluffing about his late night whereabouts agonized the woman. (here bluff means to act deceptively.)

There are other meanings for the word bluff, but these were the ones that immediately came to mind.

I will agonize no more over this question, choosing to bluff my way through it in one sentence.

(Or, I could agonize over the height of the bluff overlooking the Grand Canyon, not daring to look directly downward into the ravine.)

(Tee hee!)
