I am not the one that ends up in the shower when the hot water is gone... I am typically the last one to shower since I work nights, but I give the water heater at least an hour between the last child's shower/bath before I take my shower... I like it as hot as I can stand it and if it starts to feel cool, I turn up the heat... if I run out of hot water, its time to get out

Not a problem ... for this Military Retiree (and Long Term Single Parent) knows how to shower VERY, VERY QUICKLY! After all, TIME is something that I had very little of over many, many years ... so the Hot Water does NOT run out BEFORE I am done with my shower!

Depending on the weather, if it's a hot summer day, maybe a good choice would be to continue to cool in a refreshing bath..but yickes, if its winter or near it..get out asap!.....unless your having a hot flash.......lol....It can feel pretty darn good.

So far that has not happened to me, yet.
We have an incredible large hot water heater.
And I'm one of those folks who stays in the shower forever.
Even my cat sits outside the shower door and mews.
I know she thinks it very strange
that her cat mom likes getting wet.

that has never happened since I moved out. I have had gigantic water heaters ever since, but when It did happen, I immediately got out, I shouldnt be in there that long anyway, it doesnt take that long to take a shower.

Turn off the water, soap up and rinse using a washcloth or small towel. .
OR
Rinse with the cold water while screaming so loud the neighbors think someone is dying.

When I lived in New Hampshire and anyone in the state flushed their toilet, I lost my hot water. Got used to it. While I had to. Til I moved back to California. I can always go roll in the sand.
