We are trying to close on a house with some office who I believe to be crooks (they messed up the 1st deal, they never return our or the owner of this house's calls,& they take money & won't give us a reciept, ect.) The only time they actually call is to ask my husband for money!
I know they're running a scam, but how can I get some quick action?
We already moved in & are putting everything in our names (electric, gas, ect) but I am afraid the owner of this house is going to get tired of waiting & tell us to move. How can we stop that from happening/? I like this house,I don't want to move!! The owner came & got his stuff out of the garage & said he doesn't know what happened to those guys (in the office). Why is he still taking his stuff?
If there are any lawyers out there reading this,PLEASE email me ASAP..I am so tired of all this house BS & just want it to end. It's been going on since April of this year. Also they made the co-signer sign a contract but won't give us a copy.Help!

Before finding a lawyer and confusing things further, you should call your closing agent and find out what is happening on that front. Stay on the phone all day until you get answers to your questions.

In some states closing agents are called escrow officers and in some they are, Unfortunately attorneys. Contact them and find out where you are as far as closing is concerned.

You might also check with the title company to find out if they are having any problems.

I hope you have an escrow opened at least, and started a loan application for the buying of the house.

If you are having doubts about an agent or an office that is handling the transaction for you, then you should contact the local Real Estate Board in which the agents are located.

You might also check with your city permit department to see if this office was issued a business permit.

Then you should check with the Better Business Bureau to see if they have any information about this office or business.

Normally if they have been permitted by one or two of these agencies they might be competent.

Have you had a talk with the sellers and see if you both are getting the same information.

By now you should have a copy of all the documents you and your husband has signed. If you are being scammed you are allowing it. Stop giving these fools money without receipts and without telling you where is it going.

If you don't fight at least struggle.

You might call a meeting of the minds to find out where and in which directions you are headed.

If you are not getting anything from your agent, please call his supervisor and tell him/her what you are feeling, the amount of money you have expended for this transaction without getting a reciept

What make you think they are running a scam and why have you waited this long to inquire about their activities?

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.
