This is a little vague but I'll try to help

If it is something you did wrong it will make it harder to do. You must first forgive yourself. make amends to who or what with in you and you can move on.

If it is some kind of an event that the hurt was to someone else. try not to live with fault in your heart.

To stop thinking about anything is every hard. What ever it is will melt away as time go by. The hard part is the waiting. The bottom line don't hold things to close to you and use forgiveness as your outlet

Try this.Set a time of the day and be alone.Think about it constantly and nothing else.Think from all angles and all the variations and do so relentlessly. After a while, you shall reach a saturation point and it would begin to go away slowly but surely. This is how we can make our mind do what we really want to do and it works.

it's hard but it takes time. maybe what you are thinking about is an issue that needs to be resolved. soon as that is done that what you are thinking about will be off your mind for good i hope.
