I need to vacume, but cant because I am afraid of that terrible odor that smells like rotten something. Do you think if I change the filter in the vac it will cause the odor to go away?
Its a bagless vacume with a hepa filter.

Change the filter and check the drive belt to the brush. Sometimes hair gets tangled and burns when the belt is turning.

Ahhh, the candy scent of burning something??? Had an identical situation take place. you have the single with the self cleansing/ rotating / hepa filter out. properly in case you haven't any longer observed it, that hepa filter out is meant to continuously turn. no be counted if it relatively is not, the motor tries to, heats up and scents like burning rubber. So I fixed it myself. there's a great style of screws you may desire to take out to disassemble the hepa filter out. I advise like 20 or so. shop music, because of the fact there are 2 categories of screws.
