It sounds like you're a native to San Antonio or Texas. Part of the problem is associated with the supply and demand of your profession. Consider applying for positions outside of San Antonio (Austin, Dallas, Houston, other cities, etc.). Once you build up a year or two of solid experience, then try applying for positions in your home town. If you're stuck to only San Antonio (due to your marital partner's job assignment), then look for positions where you can use your skills and abilities until you find the career/job you're looking for. Looking at your description, I'm sure you could find a secretary or administrative assistant position easily in our nation's 7th largest city (San Antonio). Most professionals seek to return to their home towns; but have to start in different areas to get an income and work experience. Just a suggestion. Also, consider having a few professionals read over your resume and cover letter. Remember, your goal is to sell yourself in a positive way on your resume. This can be a hard task when competing against 100 other people for a similar position. Hope things work out for you. I visited San Antonio for the first time back in November and loved it!

I don't think that your problem has to much to do with your situation, I think that now it is the catalyst for your problem, but you would have the same problem no matter where you are. There is no way that in just a weeks time you could have visited all of the medical clinics, doctor's offices, hospitals specialty clinics in San Antonio. Tale a long hot bubble bath and consider where you have gone and then go to the places that you haven't gone. Not all but a number of hospitals offer a training program for LVNs (LPNs) They use you part of your day and send you to school the other part of that day. They pay you and they pay for your education as well, the hook most of the time is that you have to give back a certain amount of time, Good luck, take a deep breath, smell the roses, and keep trying, going to mama's is not the answer.

If you are looking for a job as a CMA check with the Bexar County Medical Society. They have a job service and frequently have postings for positions with physician's offices in San Antonio. It is helpful if you speak spanish as translation is frequently needed in local medical offices. Most of the medical assistants I worked with in my clinics, came to us through the local training programs, and we kept the ones we liked after graduation. I also had one CMA who I worked with very well who I moved from office to office where ever I was because we worked so well together.
Good luck in San Antonio! Don't give up!

there are a lot of trendy restaurants where you would make good tips. Try the downtown restaurants or Southtown area. Waiting tables might work for you while you secure a better job. Good luck.
