He did it because he thought by invading Iraq he could cancel out the fact that he was a draft-dodging coward during Vietnam and be made a "war hero".

Bush may have resented growing up in his father's shadow, but how many more toy soldiers, as they are to bush, have to die so that junior can compensate for his feelings of inadequacy?

Unfortunately, it is Dick Cheney who tucks Bush in every night and whispers dirty deeds. Sure, Dick's not his real daddy, but George can't tell the difference when the lights are out.

It could very easily be on our shores. 9/11 proved that. He has kept it off our shores. As a matter of fact, those who worship Bill Clinton and therefore Hillary seem to overlook the fact that he left the country to not have to go. I believe that qualifies for draft dodging. Bush was in the guard, so he was serving. I think he is a good man, but that seems to make people uncomfortable. They would rather have someone like Bill Clinton who makes them feel better about the things they do that are wrong.

WOW. Issues?

I agree that this war was not the best idea that Bush has had- assuming ofcoarse he has had a good idea.

we are now their and we can't lose. I don't think that Bush made the right decision. He has made a big mess. How can we clean it up? We need a stable middle east. We also need to stop buying their oil and stop funding them. they don't have anything else of value.

If we were smart, we would commit to alternative fuels as a national policy- it is not overnight but may end the problems in my children's lifetime. Don't think that alone will solve the problem, but with educating the population of the middle east- within their culture and belief system- so that they are not easy recruits for terriorism, Educating our own people the history and belief system of other cultures. Also cutting off funding for the terriorist. Watching our own country and weeding out the sleepers. Protecting our borders. And keeping our wealth here at home rather than giving it to the cheapest manufacturing lead paint producing toy factor in china simply to save a few pennies...

Well.. I may of issues of my own!

He did not dodge the draft, he served honorably in the Air Guard flying F-102 jet fighters. You think that is easy duty, you try it. Clinton ran off to college and never served, Kerry he managed to get himself "wounded" only 3 months after he got there. And by all accounts those were self inflicted. I would rather have Bush in office than either Kerry or Gore, one a traitor to the soldiers he fought alongside, the other a rich man's son who spent his tour in a 5 star Hotel in Saigon. So look for the facts, if you can see thru the blinders you are wearing.

The sheeple have spoken, quaking in fear. The republicants were very successful in gathering the sheeple and frightening them into accepting the current crimes.

From 2004 through 2007, the average monthly casualty rate for US soldiers in Iraq was roughly 70. At that rate, between now and January 20, 2008, we can expect between 1300 and 1400 more American casualties, unless there are dramatic changes in the situation there, or the policy here.

Getting Saddam was avenging his father's failure to get him. Your points are right, but I think he invaded Iraq because Cheney explained about their private contract for oil in Iraq. And, Cheney and Rove also explained Halliburton's role in rebuilding whatever we destroyed, and how that would make their stock in "H" much, much more valuable....to say nothing of the billions that have been misplaced.
