My best friend is married and I´m helping him a lot with his work. We talk a lot and everybody seems to think there´s something going on, but that´s not true. His wife doesn´t want him talking to me anymore. What can I do to prove we´re just friends?

FYI I´m not married, I don´t have a boyfriend, I´m not gay.

To have an emotional affair emotions must be involved; we only talk about work

Talk to his wife. If she´s reasonable, when she sees that you don´t have any ulterior motives for helping him she´ll leave you alone, hopefully.
Best of luck

Even if you are not having an affair, the appearance is there. If "everybody seems to think there's something going on" as you say...are you sure there isn't? Let him do his own work or get help from someone else. He should value his marriage more than he values you.

Sorry to say that you can't. People are going to say what they want. Did she have a problem with this before? Did something change between you two? Take a step back and look. You might find out why his wife no longer accepts this.

By backing off! A true friend would avoid doing anything that would jeopardize another's reputation. Why you may be innocent, you frequent contacts with a married man is damaging to both of your reputations. Prove your a friend!

well, since she's having a hard time trusting him, maybe they have issues. i say just back off. you dont need the drama. i'm sure you want to help your friend....but at what cost...getting labeled as a homewrecker...when you know you are not.

just leave him alone. he is a big boy....i'm sure he can handle things on his own.

good luck

Just do everything in a public place, not in a secluded area. Also, why isn't your own husband your best friend?

Just limit your time with him.....You don't have to prove anything...if others want confirmation that you are having an affair...then the burden of proof is on them.....

Tell him to talk to his wife and tell him to start spending more time with his wife then you.....if that doesnt work you will have to stop seeing him so much and stop helping him with work.............good luck ♥
