how do you post a question on physics forums? I am new to it and need help with a homework question.

I think you have to register yourself in the forum, then create a new thread about the question you want to ask.The option might be in there. Forums always work that way.

Physics is listed in the "Science and Mathematics" category. You can ask your question there or ask it here, or both.
