I don't drink or smoke. I don't like the smell of alcoholic beverages or cigarrette smoke, and I wish smoking was banned on the campus here at the college.
I'm a non-conformist, too, and I'm going to stay that way!

I drink about once every 3 months, but only if it's something that tastes good, and I don't smoke.
I don't think it's being a conformist to do ether. To start smoking is just a stupid decision. I understand why people drink- it's a very social thing to do, It makes people feel good, I just don't have the pallet for it- I find pretty much all of it tastes horrible, and I refuse to drink something that tastes awful just to get drunk - that's just crazy.

I quit drinking seven years ago, I had a real problem with it. I don't miss it at all. Also, I'm taking Chantix (prescription) to help me to quit smoking. I haven't quit yet but, I'm down from two packs a day to five cigarettes a day.
Why be a conformist? Well, I watched my mother die from the effects of smoking which was awful for her and worse for me. When my husband said that I wheeze while I sleep I knew it was time. I want to be around for my family.

No I don't smoke or drink it's so lame. I watch this show on AMC called Mad Men. It's set in the late 50's. It shows how the cigarette companies affected pop culture and made smoking elegant . They made cigarettes fashionable . Buy making it a staple in Hollywood. It crazy how Media and advertising has such a hold on people. They no these two vices cause disease and death. But people like the image that these products represent. It makes people feel grown. It's sick, like it's a right of passage for some people. Like some people think they look cool and sexy smoking. The same with alcohol, people think they look so chic with a drink in their hand.

In moderation, with meals
No
Is one conforming to the small minority that smokes these days? Or with the unfortunate souls who think a 12 pack is moderation?
