Beyond that:
It is a fact that Congress has already recognized the Armenian Genocide twice for the same thing, once in 1975 and once in 1984.

This was done as pure political posturing. If it endangers our troops, to hell with them. That's the attitude.
/EDIT: g - That's for you. Cheers.

I am so glad that you addressed this issue. I think that we need to look at it from a utilitarian point of view. Bottom line is that our soldiers are in Iraq, and we need to use the airbases in Turkey to evacuate our folks in the event of an emergency, not to mention the need to use Turkey as a base for logistics.
Okay, say you're not in favor of the war, and you don't care if my brothers and sisters die overseas...consider that Turkey is a "torn" country meaning that they are on the verge of embracing Westernized acceptance of all people and religions. If we reject them at this point, we could very well push them into Islamic extremism. Is that what we want? Do we want to create more terrorists? Do we want to create more enemies? I think that we should be in the business of embracing as many of these places as possible to prevent the growth of radical Islam.
Okay, let's say that you don't care about the spread of radical Islam and that you don't care if we have another attack on our soil, did anyone notice the jump in the price of crude oil? Are you aware that Turkey holds the exit to the pipeline that draws oil and natural gas out of the Caspian Sea area? With their issues with both Iran and us, we are driving up the price of oil. Is that a good idea?

Alpha Male, look at my question I posted about the Armenian Genocide and the Dalai Lama.
This is all just part of the end times. Jesus is waiting to come down on clouds of glory.
Remember, I do pray for you and the troops as well as our elected leaders.
I am a street preacher and I do let people know the good news of Jesus Christ.
If I was in Iraq, I would be letting my fellow soldiers know that what is happening now is just what is suppose to be happening and that they would need Jesus in their hearts.

Consider the source of where the resolution came from. It is the democrats trying to sabotage Iraq because the surge is working, and since there is no bad news coming out of Iraq - they are trying to make bad news happen.

This is why it is SO dangerous to have libs in power!!!....they have the mentality of an 8th grader and rule with emotions!!!...they are too arrogant to EVER admit that they just might be wrong....Pelosi, with her Superior intelligence, thought that she found a way to capture defeat while keeping her hands clean and then would be able to blame it all on George Bush....her arrogance blinded her, and it back fired!!...Now we have the real possibility of total chaos over there...MAYBE even to the point where that whole region explodes in war and she has been exposed for the bumbling fool that she and her followers are...these people are dangerous, and need to be stopped in 08!!

Good question, why don't you get on the phone and call Nancy Pelosi's office and ask her? I did and got nothing but excuses... This is just the Democrats' way of sabotaging and undermining our troops. Look who sponsored this and who's pushing it. The resolution has 225 cosponsors in the House -- more than a majority and the most support it has ever received, according to its chief sponsor, Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Burbank). Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), who became House speaker with the Democratic takeover of Congress this year, has long championed the issue.
Here's her contact info: Washington, D.C. Office - 235 Cannon HOB - Washington, DC 20515 - (202) 225-4965

I will repost my answer from another question....
by Tink "Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stepped up political and diplomatic threats in recent days, telling the United States he would cut off U.S. access to the strategic Incirlik airbase in eastern Turkey if the U.S. tried to prevent Turkey from sending troops against the Kurdish bases in northern Iraq."
You know who started this, right??? You know who made the political and diplomatic threats, right? Nancy Pissosie!
This is all Nancy Pissosies way of trying to undermine the war. She is bringing up an 100 yr. old issue that was already taken care of by Regan. She wants Turkey to take action so we will be FORCED to cut and run. She is putting our troops in more danger and is putting AMERICA in danger of more attacks on our soil.
Now, to answer the rest of your question, NO it's not worth it!
I have no idea how someone can support this resolution. It's the liberal, anti-American, agenda to completely oppose Bush. They hate him so much they are willing to put lives in danger.

We cannot be blackmailed into ignoring our principles!
That having been said, I'm against this proposal not for your reasons, but on it's own merits. I feel that it is not productive for our nation to pass resolutions of judgments on events that occurred 100 years ago, in which our nation was in no way involved, regarding a goverment entity that no longer even exists. It sets a bad precedent of holding the sons liable for the sins of the fathers (or great-grandfathers in this case).

I hate to say it but I think that's their plan,They think getting power is more important than world peace and our brave troops security, after all, they are GW's brain washed assassins according to Sean Penn.
You know I don't support this treasonous, behavior.
They have proven that the left has no honor or soul.
