I think Caleb looks better but in reality it doesnt matter what others think it's what you think that matters.
My son's middle name is Gaberiel. I accidently misspelled Gabriel. But it's pronounced the same way.

I love the name Caleb, although I think it does look feminine spelled Cayleb. What about Kaleb or Cahleb? Hope this helps!

I think that for a girl, the "y" is better. Without the "y" it looks really boyish... Caleb seems like a guy name but Cayleb looks more like a girl name.

Personally I would go with Caleb, Messing around with spelling sounds like fun when your pregnant but remember your sweet little baby will one day be an adult hard as that is to believe. Which one looks better on a resume? Also do you really want your child to spend the rest of its life correcting everybody's spelling of their name because most people will automatically spell it caleb then he would have to explain about the y it would end up being frustrating. By no means do it because it would make other peoples lives easier but think about your baby being a child as well as a teenager then a adult.

Caleb. If you add the extra Y he's always going to have to explain that there is an extra y in his name.

I would spell it Caleb. I don't know that the y added makes it look girly so much as it makes me think he had goofy parents. (I don't mean to name call, it's just what it makes me think.)
