Ok I don't get this but why is it that in the fall I am so motivated to do anything and I succeed in a lot of things(school(college the latest) and work.) But by the time January rolls around I don't feel like doing anything and my mistakes on homework and work and everyday life really get to me and I just don't get anything done and I get lonely. I'm not really a perfectionist and I don't seek attention but I hate this. It really affects my life. I don't get affected by the weather and I hate this. My counselor says to wait until that 'season' rolls around.

Any idea? I even dropped out of college because I fail to go to class regulary and fail to return assignments on time. AND as for work, I keep making mistakes even though I know how to do it. Help? Even if I get love and affection it doesn't help.

This happens to everyone. It’s a normal thing. Take a deep breathe. Clear your mind. Go out or do something different for a while, but not much that you get hooked up. Exercise. Meditate. Read something else. Something to get your way from things that worry you from the inside even if you think you have no problems at all. The best thing is prayer. Pray. A prayer before you start anything, always does the trick. Pray before you gradually get back to the things that need more attention (i.e. education or whatever it may be).
We might think we're lonely, but we're not. Believe me, there is no such thing as loneliness because we always have God with us. I’m sure everything will turn out right in the end. Be strong. I know you can do it.

Our nature is a mixture of genetics that ended on what we are, we look similar to other humans, but our genetics are slightly different, as some other spices may be your genes are a little bit charged with the Hibernation, it happens to me in other way, I start to gain weight before winter, and then at spring I get back on track.

But this is just a physiological issue, you may control it with pride, you know just convince yourself that your genetics may have some influence on your behavior, but you are a human, you can control your instincts and your mind is a lot more power full than your body.

Is just education, some times you feel like grabbing somebody else, but your social education keeps you from doing it, educate your body to minimize your winter problem.

If you do not get results, just move to a place were winter does not change the weather, but is not a guarantee.

Better yet, get a seasonal business, like selling ice pops and ice cream in a truck,is a good bus sines, and in winter you go and get a night security guard job in Texas.

Hope this works for you.

Its not that the work or school are beyond your capabilities, because you have demonstrated competence in the past in both areas. Maybe its that your passions lie elsewhere. You must draw upon your own knowledge, because this is probably the only way to figure out a plan for your future. Do this now and don’t wait for the next season to roll around. That is a waste of your time. Figure it out, and you’ll have a plan to make a go of it.

I wouldn't say it has anything to do with the seasons. Mainly you're just sick of all the work. Having a summer break gives you rest and going back it's alot easier to focus on the work with all that rest.

I think you are thinking to much about it. Unless you really do have SAD, your performance would have nothing to do with the season unless you train yourself to believe it does.

My advice? Start noticing the good events that happen to you in the fall...there has to be some.

Good luck!

Wow.
Classic seasonal affective disorder.
amylyn above is right, it has to do with light and can be quite easily treated.
See a doctor! He can get you a light to bask in....
A LOT of people have it.

I wonder if you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder without knowing it. It's not weather related - it's light-related.
