i was thinking about having my middle toe shortened because i have such a hard time finding shoes. Does any body have any stories, positive or negative???

Any surgery is invasive and you would risk infections, and even death.
You can get round toed shoes, pointed toed shoes. All you have to do is go to a shoe store where there are professionals who will take correct measurements of your feet for starters. Get shoes that fit and your feet will be fine!

Pros: shorter toe, smaller shoe size
Cons: Scary surgery, pain, discomfort during healing
How much longer is your toe? I've not ever heard of it affecting anyone's ability to find shoes, perhaps try a larger size :)

You can't have THAT hard of a time finding shoes to do something that drastic. You have probably not shopped the right stores, or maybe you are one of us that refuse to face the reality they have BIG Feet!
