Because, they have the state of mind of a person -that is so focused on saving one tree that they are unaware that the rest of the Forrest is disappearing! Right along with the rest of the country- that believes that the more Government programs they have the happier, and safer they will be! They do not realize the more they ask for their help, the more they can be abused...BTW...This country was founded as a Republic...Not a Democracy! You need to ask yourself why that was the best way!!!!

Victory? There will never be a military victory in Iraq! Bush and his lowest ever for any president 24% approval rating will give you an idea of what people think of him!!
PA, Canada and Europe are "Socialist"? Better go back to school or at least look at the definition before you make irrational comments. I guess we could say the same about corporate welfare and the Rich in this country that do nothing but steal from the poor!

They use this as the reason to stay in Iraq. First it was to rid Iraq of Saddam and Sons-- Done!
Next was Free Elections -- Done!
Since they have been at each others throat in that part of the World, for eons, There will never be a Clear 'Victory' in Iraq. Our Current President remains vague as what he considers a 'Victory' in Iraq to be.

Most of Bush's buddies already bailed on him.
They cashed in their paychecks. hightailed it back to the ranch and left the boss to clean up the stables by himself.
Bush is already yesterday's fish wrap, no doubt about that. Good. Let him learn to clean up his own mistake, instead of loafing at his ranch like a lazy mule.
