I will find out soon if I am pregnant. I am like 11 dpo. I also think I have a staff infection on my face. What will it do? Will it harm the baby if I am? What should I do? I am freaking out. I will call the doctor tomorrow to confirm if it is or not. Please give me your advice!

There are many antibiotics which are safe, or at least have no known effects on your baby. If you are pregnant, it is safer to treat the infection than risk the infection spreading and possibly getting into your blood stream. Just tell your doctor that you suspect you are pregnant so that they can prescribe that right medication. Also, if the infection is open, make sure to bathe it and let it get plenty of air. I had a staf infection and that was the thing that helped the most.

going to the doctor is the best thing to do. only they will know how to treat you. in the mean time, do not touch your face any more than necessary and remember to wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling anything- like food, dishes, linens. try not to touch others or let them touch your affected area. keep your wash cloths and towels seperate from everyone elses in the family and get fresh ones for each use. change your pillowcases after evry use as well and do not share them. I know it will be tough for a while but your doc should be able to get you on the right course of treatment. Good luck at the docs!

Dude, if you think you have a staff infection, do NOT wait until tomorrow - go to the ER immediately. That is dangerous and it spreads quickly. Several hours could make months of difference in treatment if it's of the MSRA variety.
