OMG!!!! I haven't watched that for YEARS! John died? Are you SURE??? After all, just about everybody on that program has been dead at LEAST once or twice. I didn't like the character, but I liked the actor. I used to love his angry/determined gesture, the way he would clench his fist in the air, then pull it back toward him with his eyes closed and he's sucking in this deep breath through clenched teeth....."SSSSSSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssssss... That always struck me as so funny. I hate to hear he's gone. I also wouldn't be surprised if he came back. DOOL is the WORST show for doing that!!! PS: For you guys with Direct TV (and probably a lot of other services), there is a channel that re-runs the soaps at night, and again on the weekend. I'm sure DOOL is one of them.

I can't help but think that he is not dead. I saw in a magazine that he was probably leaving the show. However, this is John Black... how many times has he "died"? I think they did a good job with his funeral. It will certainly be different with out him there. I have many predictions and some juicy details I would love to spill! I guess this isn't the place for it though.

OMG, this is "days". how many times have they killed off someone and then they reappear a year or two later? Lets see, Bo, Hope, Demira (can't count how many times he's supposedly died), Roman and on and on it goes. They just keep recycling the characters and story lines.

Im sorry to say this, but you need to place your effictions, desires, and focus of life on something a little more important than a few actors trying to pay their rent.

oh, and he is still alive. though now unemployed. honestly, if you cry, it should be because another person lost their job and will be living on the street eating from a garbage can soon. at least that is what will happen if he lives in Michigan where there is no jobs.

I agree with all the other answerers. But, if John is "really" dead, I won't be watching Days as faithfully as I have been. He is (was) the heart of the show!!!

I just don't understand why the "Days of Our Lives" wrote John off the show !!

John was one of the BEST !!!!!!!
