On top of some there's some old guy in a loin cloth that knows the answer to Life, Universe and Everything (of course, we all know it's "42"). On others, there's some guy in leather pants shouting "Ricola." But the coolest thing is on top of Pikes Peak. There is an Olympic Monument which has the name of every American athlete who has ever won a gold medal in the Olympics. It's pretty impressive.

On the top of the mountain is a small piles of rocks, and there is a wildflower growing from the rock pile. On the wildflower is a tiny little gnat, and he is reading a miniature sized copy of "Horton Hatches the Who".

I bet there is a gorgeous view at the top of a mountain! Also if you are the one who climbed up there, you will either have a feeling of exhilaration or of exhaustion or maybe both along with that beautiful view. :o)

well i went hiking once and at the top of the mountain there was a waterfall i was so surprised it was really cool
