Teachers... I am often absent from school. I have migraines that do not respond to medication, and they incapacitate me for the day. I always have work to make up when I get back to school the next day. How do you recommend making up work? I always get overwhelmed with double the amount of work (even more, because I have to make up classwork also). When I get overwhelmed like this, I tend to just blow through the material without really understanding it, because I am worried about it all being due the next day. Any suggestions to make this process a little easier?

For your schoolwork, take one day a weekend to study and use that time to read ahead in your books and try to work in advance, including doing math problems, writing exercises, etc. This sounds like torture, but it will make all the difference.

Get some medical attention pronto for those migraines, because even your diet or activities could be contributing to them.

Make arrangements for a friend to get your class work for you when you are absent so you can get a jump start on it from home. Also, it sounds like you should see a doctor about those migraines.
