well red savoys has kick *** pizza, Joey D's has amazing italian sandwiches and Izzy's was voted best ice cream in America by readers digest. Hope that helps.

In Uptown there is Chino Latinos, Chai Mai Thai, Uptown Chai and if you have time for the best Chai tea or a mocha go to Uncommon grounds.
Downtown go to Keys, The Spaghetti Factory, for really great burgers go to Matts bar (on ceder and i think 3rd) I can't really think of any more downtown places.

Chino Latino is a great place! (It's actually in Uptown not downtown). If you like German food, Gastoff's on University is always a good time. They have polka music in the basement, and the atmosphere is always festive! I also LOVE Red Savoy's Pizza in St. Paul. Hope you find something you like.

My fave is Chino Latino in downtown Minneapolis. They have some Asian and some Latin foods on their menu, and everything is fantastic! Plus its a pretty fun atmosphere, we always go when we're in town...

I've really enjoyed my meal at Brit's Pub a couple times when I was there. I've never run into another British restaurant in the US. It was the first time I'd ever had Scotch eggs and I totally fell in love with them.
