i dont really know what identity is but if you are asking if the statement is true that 4 + 1x + 3x = 2 (2x + 5), then it is no.
the final answer i got is 4+4x=4x+10.
this is just coming from a 8th grader in 8thgrade honors

4+1x+3x=2(2x+5)
4+1x+3x=4x+10
4+3x=4x+10
-3 -3
4=1x+10
-10 -10
-6=1x
then u divide each by one and get..

-6=1x
