I have a 19 inch lcd monitor , not a widescreen and i love it. Widescreens can cause difficulties with some games regardless of what some say. If you like you regular monitor i would suggest looking at a regular non widescreen lcd.

The wide screen is fine for game to play on. They might not take up the whole screen or be scretched but if you play with the resolution and graphics properies you can fix this. I used my moms Dell laptop which has a widescreen for some games, I preffered to play the games in a window so i can still see part of the desktop, well mostly IMing people and it made it easier. Wide screens are nice, They work better for a lot of websites and you just get useto them

I use a regular LCD monitor (22") to play games, and am very satisfied with it. Widescreen is good for movie watching experience though I'm not too sure of games. Personal preferences matter most here, so I'd choose the regular LCD. Works good with the PC too.

If it doesnt have widescreen you will probably be able to make it stretched or have black rectangels on either side of the screens. I have been looking to get a lcd monitor and i decided to wait till black friday (day after thanksgiving) and buy a massive like 42" screen for my comp for about $500 but even if you want small u should wait for more christmas sales

The games should. I have a 26 LCD, and it works fine with everything. Just make sure you get HDTV, cuz regular channels looks so shitty!

Some games have screen options you can choose from like...standard format, full screen or wide screen. The game will still work.
