It should work but only with GameCube games. It's like 2 systems in one with the GC ports on top but operate separately. Wii-motes for Wii games and GC controllers for GC games. I don't own a GameCube but I bought 2 Hip Gear wireless GC controllers and a memory card to play GC Zelda, Pokemon XD, Super Smash Brothers Melee and Battalion Wars. The receiver pack just plugs in on top like a wired controller and works great.
