With my first my water broke at 6:00am. I was in labor with her for 25 hours. I pushed for two hours and everyone was surprised that I was so quiet through the whole thing except for one time when everyone in the room but my husband was yelling at me to push and I yelled back "I AM PUSHING!". That was the only verbal noise I made for the whole two hours!!
With my second my husband had gone off to work that day knowing that I was having contractions but they weren't regular. I had decided to allow my two year old to stay up and watch a Charlie Brown special. Well, sure enough the contractions got closer together and more regular so I called hubby at work and had him come get me. We took our daughter over to my parent's and headed to the hospital. She was born at 3am and when she arrived the nurses put her on the scale and said it was broken because it said she was 8lbs and she was a lot bigger than that, so they went and got another scale and sure enough she was 10lbs! We were the talk of the hospital!
With number three I woke up one morning at 37 weeks and went to the bathroom and all that came out was blood!! We rushed to the hospital with the little ones in tow and after a while they admitted us. The doctor was thinking it was a placental abruption. They induced for a while until the doc was no longer comfortable with the amount of blood and ordered an emergency c-section. We hadn't even packed a bag and I had to keep sending my husband home to get things but everything turned out o.k. and the baby and I were both fine afterwards! My in-laws had to buy a preemie outfit for her though because even though she was 7lbs. she was swimming in everything that we had to put her in!

My second baby and I was 3 days past my due date- and very anxious to be done! I finally told my job that I was starting my leave because I was so uncomfortable and they were veerrryy grateful cause I scared them to death every time I sneezed-lol!
The next day I was up with my 4 year old daughter as was normal and around 10 am I started haveing some mild contractions. Not painful, just tightening, and not regular. They stopped and started for the next few hours and I called my husband at work at 12:30 to tell him I was frustrated- he said he'd been antsy all morning and he was coming home that this was it. I said he was nuts, I wasn't going to the hospital until I couldn't talk through a contraction ( my first was 23 hours of labor- 20 of which I spent walking the halls in the hospital and did not want to do that again!)
He got home at 1, called his mom to come over and argued with me to get in the car, mind you the contractions had not changed, and at 2 I finally gave in but made him promise to bring me home if I was only dialated to 2 or something small.
Well, we signed in at 2:15 in labor and delivery, they gave me the gorgeous hospital gown to change into and as I was changing, an enormous contraction hit! Hmmmm, I thought, and got on the bed to be checked. Well, I was dialated to 9!!!! My first thought was, oh sh*t, now I'm gonna hear I told you so's for the rest of this babies life, and then I couldn't think! My beautiful son came bounding into this world at 3:15- 1 hour after I signed in! At a nice 7lbs14 ounces, thank you very much! The labor was so short, and I only pushed twice that I felt great and was in the shower by 3:45!
And yes, even tho we are now divorced and my son is 13, my ex will still bring it up on occasion and say I told you so! LOL
I wish you short labor and healthy babies! Congrats!

I gave birth at 35 weeks, that was a crazy 5 hours in which I arrived at the hospital 7 cm dialated and experiencing contraction only for an hour or so eariler. It was crazy, but we all survived delivery and a week in the NICU.
One of the funniest moments was a couple of days after birth. I was checking my messages and there was one from the Midwive's clinic. The message was that my 10 am appointment was to cancelled with the midwife because she was in a delivery. I delivered at 9:45 am - the delivery my midwife was in was mine! :-)
Take care of yourself and your boys.

My story is kinda funny. I was supposed to have my baby shower on July 14th. It was supposed to start at 5pm. My water broke at 4pm when some people starting showing up to set up. We had to call everyone and tell them not to come to the house because we were going to the hospital. I ended up having a beautiful baby girl at 1:38am on July 15th. The best part is this happened to my mom with her first child too. =0)
Hope this story makes you smile. Keep up the good work with your twins....I wish you the best!!!!
