My mother is going through a really hard time right now -her husband is wanting a divorce & has moved out & is with a new girl already. She asked me to get her a cd with songs that will make her happy and stop her from crying!! Please give me some advice, Thanks!

She is young, 35, and likes most all music, 80's rock & stuff that is new... she isn't really a rap fan though.

I can't help but giggle a bit & forget my problems when I hear the "NO!" album from They Might Be Giants.

Its a bit whimsical for most adults though.

For an 80's throwback band, check out track 1 (need more time) from this epoxies album.

If you can get a hold of it, the last release from Nena & Kim Wilde was pretty lighthearted & fun.

Some fun music is The Juvies - Playing Hookie album. If you like brian setzer type stuff, this is the cream of the crop. Its all fluff, nothing serious.

A spiteful album that I enjoy for the holidays is The Vandals - Oi! To the World. Its a punk rock chrismas album full of dirty songs. It can usually get a laugh out of the stiffest of behinds.

Things I like to listen to when i'm feeling down are things like Bon Jovi's new album, or Daughtry, even some Goo Goo Dolls, some nice slow or acoustic rock always seems to work, although the lyrics of most of those songs are pretty sad. I would say the best is Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway" album

I artwork in a psychological hospital, and handle 1000's of persons daily who've comparable subjects. The above poster has some good suggestion, yet via fact which you're already on those meds, dont end taking them until eventually you communicate on your therapist approximately it. maximum people who take those meds dont desire to. yet in common terms people who do as their medical doctors tell them would be triumphant of their quest for psychological peace.
