Can you tell if their lying by the look in their eyes?

This is complicated because there are a bazillion behaviors that give us away when we lie...and those around us can figure this out....However, the Best of Liars can fool us....many have prop like interventions that fool us...many have trained themselves with techniques similar to biofeedback and visualization....they have learned to control their bodily responses....they are so good they often convince themselves.....they are even able to pass lie detector sessions....

Yes I can 99% of the time. I have only had one person that has gotten away with lying to me that away. An they did not do it ever again. Because she would look me straight in the eyes. An they would never move. That was the way I learned she was lying!

Sometimes, but not always. When I read this it reminded me of Bush's statement after meeting Putin face to face for the first time. He said something like "I looked him in the eye and saw he is an honest man." Mwa ha ha ha! It also reminds me of a scence in one of the Oliver Sachs books I read, in which a group of severely brain damaged people were standing around in an institution watching TV. They couldn't understand the words, but whenever a politician got air time to speak, they knew immediately s/he was lying.

yes I can tell when my boyfriend is lying from a mile away. He gets this look on his face. It's a total giveaway

Usually yes, not all the time but I will tell you it is rarely I am wrong of course my gut instinct plays a big part of it too.
