If the genie weren't me I'd wish for:

an end to world hunger,

Me to drop about 50 pounds,

and

for me to have ownership of a large, very often used bookstore.

Whats your wish?

And for my own demented giggles:

I'd act on a personal level because I don't want to screw things up... sure it would sound great to implement something as wide-sweeping as national health care, but that may have long-term implications that would not be for the best. So, in no particular order:

-- I would wish for a large sum of money.
This is not because I am greedy (well, a little bit), but because I would like to be able to use that money to send my brother to college and myself to graduate school, make sure that my parents are secure in their retirement, and pay for the health care of my grandparents.

-- I would wish to be male.
If something as improbable as a genie can exist, then it's possible for this to happen. It would save me a great deal of time, money, pain, and stress to instantly become my proper sex.

-- I would wish to be rid of my 4S.
I have Soft Sound Sensitivity Syndrome, so basically everything is far louder than it should be. If I didn't have this, it would be a lot easier for me to be around people and get along with them, which would really improve my relationships with family, friends, classmates, casual acquaintances, and even complete strangers. Who knows, with the auditory assault removed, I may even be able to enter a romantic relationship, and that'd be great.

They're pretty selfish, I guess, but that's what I'd wish for. World peace and an end to hunger and decent politicians just don't seem like they'd work for something as simple as a wish... it's kind of impractical.

1. End the slavery: basically, I'm a fair trade fanatic who is working towards fair trade in my local community, but if we could eliminate the problem all together, although it would collapse my cause, it would make this world such a better place, and in turn end a lot of the poverty issues in 3rd world countries.

2. Meet Allison Mack: I take no shame in admitting my love for Allison - I'm completely in awe of how down to earth she is, how incredibly compassionate and philosphical she's capable of being. Since I began reading her blogs, I've been left to ponder over many issues and have found myself challenging my own views, which I personally think has been a great thing for me: I don't feel as narrow minded nowadays.

3. A healthy and happy family: Both now and in the future. This of course includes my family at present and in the future, as well as my future husband and any offspring I may have. I wish for them to be happy in whatever they do and to be healthy and enjoy each day as it comes.

3. No more zits, -forever-. So nice skin would be a giant plus.

Hey, at least number 1 wasn't selfish.

; ; I know Word Peace is completely idealistic, but hey, I'm a hopeless optimist about that kind of stuff lol

I would wish to:

1. Be happy in life

2. Be successful

3. Be attractive <--(kindof shallow, but I have low self esteem)

*EDIT*

There will never be world peace, and if you wished for it, the world would be chaos. I don't know if anyone said that yet, but it is a stupid wish.
