nothing. I just continue on with life. If they backstabbed me how good of a friend are they really?

I'd sit him/her down and have a good chat re. the situation . . why did you do this/ do you realise how much it hursts / after all the years/months/etc of our friendship, how could you do this / etc . . ?
It depends on how much YOU value your friendship. Sometimes what you might perceive as "back stabbing" is easily explained in a good heart-to-heart talk with your buddy . . . try it, at elast then you've got a clear conscience that you didn't stuff up, but it all came from the other side . . .

What a sad thought. I hope others don't have to feel the pain. When I found out I let the friendship go and initially I missed the friend.
