Well first of all, dirty blondes are true blondes. When I was little, my hair was white, then was a light blond, then the older I got, the darker it got, which is typical, and now it is a dark blond. Does that make me not a true blond? No, it is just a part of nature. Most blondes hair turn darker as they get older.

Cuz blond is just a mutation, brunettes came first and there are less blonds worldwide, and seeing as how the us is quite culturally diverse you see a far representation of all hair colours, of which blonds are a minority.

Because blonde hair is a recessive trait. You shouldn't really look at women or children when it comes to this. A lot of children have blonde hair when they are young but it often gets darker. Women dye their hair. Do you notice a lot of blonde men? Most guys don't bother dying their hair... blonde men are pretty rare. So blonde hair is even rarer than you realize.

brown hair is a dominant trait, so its only natural that there will be more brunettes. dirty blond is also more common than a clear blond.

Most human beings have dark hair. True blonde is extremely rare, as it's a very recessive trait. My mother is a natural platinum blonde, but I have brown-black hair.

True Blonde's are harder to come by...sort of like people with Blue eyes. Brown eyes are more dominant.
