yes, my friends all had small kids and I didn't, so I dressed my black lab in a great doggie skeleton costume and put a halloween bucket around his neck and we all went together, funny thing, the dog got the most candy! IOt;s fine to dress up your pets for Halloween as long as the outfit is not uncomfortable for the dog, and provided the dog does not mind.
P.S. I think Pugs are the most adorable dogs to dress up! Have fun.

I take my yorkie every year-he's been a dragon, a chili dog, a hot dog, a crossing guard, a ghost...the dog has to like getting dressed and has to be socialized, otherwise it can be traumatic. I take my guy on a leash but I weave glow sticks in his leash so people can see the leash in the dark and not trip and I usually put some glow in the dark paint along the edges of his costume too.

My daughter use to take her chihuahua/mini pin with her. I just worried about if the neighbors dog would go crazy having another dog at the door. I wouldn't do it. Maybe consider dressing the pooch up when you are handing out candy at home. Happy Halloween.

I'm sorry, but this is probably close to the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Your dog does not need candy. Your dog will not enjoy going trick or treating. People will just laugh at you. Stay home, and give treats to the kids that come to your door.

most people love dressed up dogs. they are so cute, and not seen as often as kids in costumes. As long as you're dog is friendly with other dogs and people, it should be fine. Keep him on a leash at all times, though. And make sure he has his collar w/ ID tag on him, as well.

They get a little bit freaked out if you're in an area that gets dark during Trick or Treating, so be prepared.
