I did it to be mean because I was feeling let down by the world and I was hurting big time, so I the last thing I felt like doing was being kind to others. I wanted to hurt someone because it felt like that's all everyone else does.

Wow...you are so good for me flutterbypurr, your questions so frequently take me into an insightful journey...How do you do that?...lead me to know myself better...the last time I was mean was when I was 9 years old...and I was very disconcerted at the feeling that being truly mean gave me...I was disgusted...and forever have disliked the girl that led me to the meanness...now this is not to say that I don't have my moments of very vicious, vengeful fantasies when someone hurts me....but it never makes it further than a passing thought...I really am a gentle and loving soul...I may joke around frequently...but when I am serious...I MEAN WHAT I SAY....but when that happens...what's said is usually very kind and somewhat golden.....

I try not to do anything to be mean and have gotten better at it as I age.
Just be sure to apologize to someone that you were mean to. Not just saying I'm sorry, but say I'm sorry for _______ whatever it is. It means more that way.

I really meant to do it. It was my intention to do it. I planned that work of action all along.

SO, NO, I didn't do it to be mean. It was never my intention in the first place to be a meanie. I want people to remember me positively, not negatively (for my mean-ness).

Unfortunately yes and unfortunately yes.

A young woman once told me that we should own our parts of a mess and disown others parts of a mess. Basically, you have to be able to step up to the plate and accept all of the crap you've done and the pain it's caused. Apologize for it. And learn to reject the crap others try to blame us for.

So I, like most, have done things in anger, sometimes meaning it to hurt, sometimes not thinking of the consequences.

I try not to do that now, but when I do, I own it, apologize and move on.

Peace

I didn't do it to be mean. I did mean to do it though. But I didn't do it to be hurtful. It was the only way out, as far as I could see.

Sometimes I do it to be mean. Sometimes it just happens that way. Other times I meant to do just that. Occasionally it happens when I don't expect it to. Infrequently I feel like an SOB and just want it to happen no matter if I meant it or not.

To do it to be mean would mean that you meant to do it on purpose.

However, i usually do it because i mean to, without the malicious attitude associated with it

I did it because THEY were mean enough to point out everything wrong I do and show complete indifference to haw I feel.

yes i am whinig and feeling sorry for myself. constant criticims and too much time alone triggers that in me no matter how telepathetic i am.
