I thought I was Darla. I was so into it that my mom set my hair in ringlets and bought me a pleated skirt. If you don't believe how convinced I was that I was Darla, you should see my kindergarden portrait!

Alfalfa. Everyone in the neighborhood, kids, adults whomever used to call me Alfalfa, because my Mom had already shown my baby pictures to every one of them and my pictures of when I was three or four and they all agreed I looked just like Alfalfa. But, thankfully without the hair spike in the back of his head.

I don't remember the original as well as Spanky, Darla and Alfalfa. I loved the Little Rascals. I watch them now in amazement, wondering how in the world the kids did all the things they did. They were really good actors and actresses.

I liked Tubby and Farina the best. They always made me laugh!!

P.S. I thought Darla was with Spanky, Buckwheat and Alfalfa? There is an original group before them.

Well, my mom told me when my uncles were out 'outhouse tippin' and old Chester Shufelt was in his when they tipped it over. Thing is, my uncles had gotten their report cards that day, and my youngest uncle still had his in his pocket and dropped it. BUSTED! My grandparents had an outhouse (old Finlanders in northern Michigan) and my grandfather had a indoor terlit installed. My grandmother wouldn't use it and trapsed to the outhouse because the indoor terlit made too much noise! The tank was up on the wall with a pull chain to flush with.

I used to watch "Our Gang" all the time. I thought Darla was so cute. I read up on the lives of the "Rascals" recently & many of them had such a rough life & some died early in life. Such sadness. :(

I loved Alfalfa, and Buckwheat. my favorites. Darla seemed a little too prissy, like she didn't fit in with the rest.

Amazing coincidence, I just saw a puppy in Lakeshore Mississippi that reminded me of the dog on the little rascals, he had that black ring around his eye, I loved that show, when I was a kid my grandma would watch it with me before church on sunday mornings. What memories, thankyou so much, She has went on to be with the Lord but I will see her again someday. Bless YOU.

I remember them.

I volunteer at a little community center and I have discovered that quite a few children of today know them as well. Those kids have some real staying power.

I can go you one better, I used to be the secretary to "Spanky". I grew up on the "Little Rascals" and "Our Gang". In fact I vaguely remember them from radio. Now that is a long time ago.
