How do I get rid of wood floor stains? I just mop it but it can't get rid of it. I'd prefer some natural cleaning solutions. Thanks.

I've seen this work on wood tables, so hopefully it'll work on floors as well.

Rub mayonnaise on the stains (thick coat). Let it soak in for hours if possible. Wipe it off with a dry cloth or paper towel and buff.

Use caution with bleach or sanding, if you remove the wood stain you will need to match the old stain which is hard to do.

If you are not prepared to strip, bleach, re-stain and reseal the entire room, you should consider a tasteful placement of a throw rug. If you are determined to remove the stain, get wood bleach at the paint store. Regular bleach will lift the fibers of the wood. I would use a lite an application as possible even if you need to do it a couple of times to get the stained area to match the rest. If you make it too lite re-stain that area with a lighter stain than the rest of the floor to bring it up to the right tone. Be sure to seal the floor when done. If you are satisfied with the color after staining, it would be a good idea to reseal the entire room since the stains were due to inadequate seal in the first place.
