pack some of your underwear in his suitcase, that will help him.
now for you> someone up there said cleaning out the cuboards. Oh Dear!! you need something more exciting than that.
you could join a book club? means you have to read one book a week, that should keep you busy and reading good books is beautiful escapism.
join a theatre. again its' beautiful escapism, and you get to go to the theatre's social events.
how about you start a project? like home renovating? or decorating? something big and challenging that should take you a few months. don't say "oh no, my husband does that sort of thing". Women really can do anything you know!! you could re-tile the bathroom, wallpaper a feature wall, create a masterpiece on canvas (there's heaps of stencils and designs you can copy from the internet). create a herb or flower garden, or even a vegetable patch. paint the interior of the house a new fresh colour, buy an old secondhand piece of furniture and do it up.
get some home decor books for ideas.
otherwise you could start a Uni degree!! not necessarily something vocational, maybe a self interest course. depending on your interest, it could be art history, philosophy, social sciences.
the idea is to keep busy doing things for YOU.

You can look around and see what you can do there that you may have wanted to do but not have had time for. One person said paint a room, but maybe just re-arrange the furniture.
you might go to a craft store if there is one near you to look over some ideas of what you can do that would keep you busy and perhaps surprise him when he gets home, like create candles with a romantic or favorite smell, or it is not too early to start making hand made ornaments for the Christmas tree.
If you like to read, visit a book store and find a book you may want to read but cant when he is home. If you have never read Bridge Across forever by Richard Bach, try that or One or even Illusions, all by Richard Bach and great books to read
as is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
You might even just go somewhere like Pogo and play games online with others who are alone and missing someone also.
i hope he is back soon and you have been able to find something to pass the time from one of us who answered.

Invite a couple of friends over for movie night. Make some food and some cocktails and have a good time! Invest yourself into a good book. Paint a room in the house that you've been meaning to. Plan a romantic night for the two of you when he gets home. Things that will get your mind off of his absence will help.. :)

Cleaning out the closets always worked for me. Serious, experienced, and faithful marriage partners aren't going to help you with your "longing to be feeling". However there are things with batteries that will.

If there are any chores that have been put on the backburner now is a good time to get it sorted.
Invite a friend to stay over and keep you company.
Take a night class doing some sort of hobby you are interested in.

If possible, keep in touch with him while he is away by calling, or e-mail. Spend the time planning a wonderful dinner or evening for his return.

call him and leave a sexy message, or send him a sexy pic so he knows that you are thinking about him.
