Half the battle is putting in the time and effort. The other half is getting inside the instructor's head. You write well. High school English classes are usually really structured in grading, and the teacher is looking for their systematic approach being carried out by each student. It doesn't really matter what you write about (in their minds) so long as you follow their guidelines. This is necessary for students to develop into decent writers, so it is understandable. College is much different. Though it is not different in the sense that you have to write to each professor in a manner that you think they want (usually facts vs excitement). Overall, there is more freedom in structure, but you cannot mess up in how you cite things or obvious grammar rules. Sometimes it is hard just to figure out what you're going to write and how you want to present it. There is also an emphasis on tying your ideas together, and ultimately furthering that idea in a unique direction, more so than redundancy in what you want to fill up the page with.

And ...........what's wrong with taking the "F" and the lumps that go along with it?

Maybe you should think instead of how many people and things and animals don't and won't really care about what grade you go in English 20 years from now.

You don't have to have a perfect grade in English to:
Clean toilets, sweep floors, work on an assembly line, rotate tires, prune bushes, chop down trees, put out wildfires, operate a fishing net, ask for people's orders at a fast-food place, flip burgers, cook huge meals for a catering service, wait on tables, stock shelves, carpentry, or just plain work manual labor.

You might want a better grade in English if you are thinking about:
airline pilot, aircraft attendant, certified service technician, general contractor, office employee, manager, and any other tasks that require reading comprehension.

I say take your "F" or negotiate a way to make up the grade responsibly. If not, take summer school and deal with it.

consider this...s/he shoots you down and you have to deal with the embarassment of seeing him/her everytime you come go to class. on the other hand, if it does work, s/he might become one of those crazy stalkers who never wants to let go. OR you could end up with an std (how many other student have s/he slept with?) either way, it ends badly....personally, id study lol

No. Threaten to kill her if she doesn't give you better grades. If it doesn't work, then kill her and steal the answers.
