C3PO is the greatest! He is so funny! Not only is he very intellectually gifted, but he has a great sense of humor. Chewy is second. If his little growl/moan jargon wasn't so annoying, he might be first. R2 is third, but he is not far behind Chewy or C3PO. Jar Jar is annoying to me. But the level of annoyance I have for him is no comparison to that of Jabba. He is a giant frog-blob that quite frankly...is not a very intimidating villain. If he didn't have all of those henchmen working for him, who would be scared of him? If he was left to fight for himself, what would he do? He can hardly turn his head, much less bully someone on his own.

Of course...R2D2! The astromech droid (played by Kenny Baker) is one of only 4 characters to be featured in all six films (the four others being Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi and C-3PO). He is also part of one, if not the most famous duo in movie history! He possesses ingenuity, courage and humor and is one of the most enduring characters of the silver screen!

Easy answer would be NOT Jar-Jar. But believe it or not, I'm going with Jar-Jar. If you watch episode I, imagine how un-cool the jedi would appear without Jar-Jar to counter their characters. You have to actually watch with this in mind to give my answer a fair shake. I really believe he made phantom a better movie.... and lets face it, 3-PO would be just as corny if first appearing in the late 90's
