Ever since I went vegan, I feel so much better (loads of energy), but I've also become EXTREMELY sensitive, timid, and anxious.

I'm thisclose to getting panic attacks when I ride on crowded buses, and anything "harsh" said freaks me out - even if it's not directed to me. People can't be honest or up-front or outspoken with me anymore - I'm always on the verge of tears.

I never used to be like this. I used to be the *total* opposite. I even used to be called "insensitive"! LOL

So how can I get over myself and become hardened? How can I be cool with not being treated like glass? Remember, I was never like this before. Thanks!

I'd rather be callous and insensitive in this dog-eat-dog and "do or die" world than be what I am right now.

Damnit!!! I hate that f'in term!!! Chemical imbalance, my lord to people not realize that thinking causes a chemical imbalance? Its like anal fixations, these darn pop-psychology terms do more harm then good..... rrrrr!!!! But I digress, to the problem at hand there. CHances are its because you've changed YOU to become a vegan. The reasoning behind this, the motivation or drive, that influences it, most be the cause. This could be traced, way, way, way back to your development, so I couldn't even began to understand exactly whats going on with you, personally. But your perpection of yourself, your worth, this reality, and your understanding of it, are the biggest influcencors of behavior, obviously. But your road to veganism is most likly your frist place to start. Honestly he is right about maybe thinking about medication ONLY if you do it in conjuction with a psychologist. But I can help sort of ease you into this, if you'd like, its an interesting process. Frist things, frist would be, how did you descide to become a vegan in the frist place? (I don't believe its the cause now, its about understanding an individual and tracing it back to its orgin. If you curious, E-mail me)

you suffer from panic attacks and social anxiety. I know it seems weird since it just all of sudden occured, but it is due to a chemical inbalance in your brain. You should talk to your doctor so they can prescribe you with anti-anxiety meds.
