I agree I would of thought the guy in the other stall ran out of toilet paper or something. I really do not like the Republican party right now because of the corrupt power grab from the executive branch of government that Bush and Cheney are attempting but even I think this is a witch hunt that should have no bearing on this senators good name. If they start arresting people for body language and non verbal communication than every man should get arrested every time we look at a women's *** or breasts, give me a break the last thing we need to do is let some brain donor cop start trying to interpret none verbal communication.

Accusations and public perception rule political life, oh, primarily money does, but other than that, public perception and spin.
In the "Court of public opinion, ran by the press" guilt or innocence is mute, since we are all guilty even if proved otherwise in the law, damages done by accusation and innuendo.
There is no escaping the "ratings war".
More and more we are being bombarded with crap journalism, and sensationalism, where the accused is guilty, and looses public support, as soon as the "news" hits the press.

It doesn't really matter what happened or not at this point. The senator plead guilty to the charges. He can't go back later when it becomes public and say 'I made a mistake, let me try this again to make it right.'
If nothing happened, he should have made a huge public case out of it up front.

Skuse me? If some jerk in the next stall starts playing touchy - feely with my feet or waving his hand under the partition, my first impulse would be to cut it off. Are you trying to tell me you would start a conversation with him?
His intentions were obvious, even to those who do not know the "sign language". He plead guilty after having weeks to think it over. In our legal system, that is considered proof. Quit making excuses.

If it had happened to me I would have fronted the person in the next stall. Asking them what the hell did they think they were doing. Playing footsie was a dangerous response for someone so high up in office.
