Express dy/dx in terms of y and x if y is defined by sq(y+x+1)=(y+x)^(1/3)..

Just take d/dx of both sides. Use the chain rule as needed.

Collect all the terms that are something*y' on one side, and all the other terms on the other side. Divide both sides by whatever is now multiplying y'. Bingo. You have an equation of the form y'=somethingorother, and you're done!
