I just turned 13 this year and i'm in the 8th grade. I'm planning to go trick-or-treating with my friends for the last time. But the problem is that i think i'm too old?? And even worst, i'm pretty tall for my age 5"4. So should i just give up?

If you think you're too old, then you're too old.

That's called "growing up", when you begin recognizing your actions as being a bit juvenile.

What exactly is trick or treating anyway, walking around in an imaginary costume begging for candy once a year? From a bird's eye view, the whole process is completely retarded.

I actually went trick or treating with my friends back then during 8th grade for the last time. Just go and have fun- I've seen some college kids trick or treating so don't worry. Besides when you get a little older, you will be going to Halloween parties every year so the fun will never stop.

You're not too old so go for it. You are, however, an older kid and there are a few things that bother people about older kids trick-or-treating. Some people think the older kids are up to no good, so make sure that you say your thank you's and be respectful. Don't cut through yards or mess with people's decorations. Make sure you show up in some sort of costume. It is irritating to have a group of kids show up at your door in their regular clothes. Half the fun of Halloween is dressing up. And if you're still unsure, take a younger sibling. It will help out your parents and folks will think it is nice. Good luck and have fun!

my last time i trick or treated was in seventh grade. But to be honest i regretted not going with my friends. A lot of people at my school said that they weren't, then actually did. I think its acceptable for you to go one more time. But consider others, some people (especially the elderly) don't like when teenagers trick or treat. Just be aware, or throw a Halloween party instead.

I'm 24 and every year I dress as Little Red Riding Hood and go trick-or-treating with my son. Several years I've actually gotten more candy than he has. It's more fun now than it was when I was a kid. Dressed as Red, I have my basket as a prop, so when someone does ask how old I am, I can just tell them it goes with the costume. Most people don't ask though, they just pile in the candy. It's so awesome!

no, you are not too old.
I hate when 20 year old college kids come to the door.
but get dressed up and get out there....

maybe next year have a halloween party with all of your friends if you think you are getting too old for it.

my son 12 , my son 8 and thier dad 30 - go every year... and I don't think any of them plan on stopping any time soon.

enjoy!

actually i went trick or treating until i was 16.... once i could drive.. than i stopped.

Try 15, sophomore in highschool and 5'10 1/2 ". I still love trick or treating. I plan on going with a huge group of my friends this year with coordinated costumes. You're never too old to trick or treat. (unless you're a really old creepy person... :P )

I'm 17 and I would love to go trick or treating. Age really doesn't matter. It's all about having fun.

You should go and have fun...but, if you feel really crazy once you get out you will know for next year...I went a 13 and that was my last year because I was 5"8 at 13 and I felt like all the kids came up to me knees....
