AHA!
I have narrowed my decisions down to these two. I cannot decide however, they each have their pros and cons
WD PROS AND CONS- Expensive, Bigger, More Active,
BD PROS AND CONS- Cheaper, Eats more, Harder to kill (on accident not on purpose LOL!)
I and my dad are willing to building the WD a melamine cage that is 6 x 3 x 3 or so. The beardie we will build 4 x 2 x 2. Could i keep 2 beardies (will be getting from petco) in the same cage? Since, they are from the same litter? I am not sure PLEASE HELP ME!
I have also researched both intensively and i just cannot make up my mind, I know their temps, humidity, diet, caging size, and what not, I just need to choose and I can't so, AGAIN, PLEASE HELP ME!

First off i would reccomend a bearded dragon although truthfully i've never heard of a water dragon =). I have two bearded dragons myself and there very easy to take care of! Also i've bought plenty of bearded dragons from petco, and please DO-NOT buy from them!!! You will get bearded dragons that will die, they WILL give you your money back but after you've spent all the love time and care into a reptile and for it to die is very emotional.. Where buy it from? Find a breeder online (i breed myself but I won't have another "litter" until another 9 months or so!) And you can keep them together as there a baby but once they get about 7 months + they need seperate cages, if they act like there trying to mate or as if they don't like each other seperate immediately (you need to keep a good eye on the first three days you keep them together) I hope my answer helped and you can reach me at howardccole@yahoo.com for more information! =)

Every unmarried residing factor likes water. Water is a necessity, and maintains you alive. Without it, you undergo and die from dehydration. Same is going for lizards, and each different animal. Lizards, specifically desolate tract lizards, want water. Desert lizards can pass a bit of bit with out water, due to the fact they're used to that once they are living within the desolate tract. It's regularly well to furnish your lizards with water. If you had been deliberating bathing your Bearded dragon, a few adore it however others don't. Some adore it considering that it offers them time to loosen up at the same time others don't like being in water and don't seem to be used to being bathed. It's regularly well to wash your Bearded dragon, it additionally makes them purifier considering that they're going to on the whole are living in sand and dry climates.

Glad to see you've done your homework! :) I'd say start with a beardie if this is your first reptile. Good practice, and if things go well, you can always get a WD as well! And no, it is NOT recommended you house two beardies together. They are not social creatures, but can be very territorial and one will usually always dominate the other, causing stress and illness. And if you get a male and female, the male will harass a female way too much and tire her out. They do just fine by themselves. WD's are a bit more social and can be kept together under the right circumstances.

yes i agree with the last poster GRATZ on doing research i love when people do that before they buy. personally both are awsome i just bought my first beardie because i have the cage for when it gets bigger and i just fell in love with it. yet at the pet store i work at theres water dragons and they always attract me. i had a bro who had a iguana and it died which scares me when it comes to my dragon cause i realize they are alot harder to keep then snakes.
ANYWAY back to your question. does your petco let you hold the pets? if so my advice would be go in frequently and take your time see which one bonds with you better. beardies come in great colors but can be spendy and water dragons to me look sweet.
So i went with beardies but take your time and see whats better i herd beardies are easier.

Personally I prefer Beardies, they can be handled and are very tame when given proper attention. I'd say I spoilded mines with crickets, but given a varied diet, she grew to a healthy foot and half and impressed everyone who saw her. They're not very active, unless being fed, for more activity I would suggest a spacious cage.
They are great pets, that can be admired by both young and old.

I debated this back and forth too. So i'm getting my bearded dragon soon after I finish his tank and when I get my own house I'm getting my water dragon. bearded-dragons.com is an awesome forum for info too fyi. The people on there can give better info and I've learned more on that site than reading books on BD's.

I LOVE my bearded dragon. But I keep wanting to get a water dragon.. I think water dragons get bigger, but both need at least a 55 gallon tank, which it sounds like you are making:) I would not keep two together, especially males since they could hurt each other.

I have three Bearded Dragons of my own and i keep mine in the same cage, my BDs don't fight so i think it would be okay for you. BDs are more easier to take care of, i would think so if you want to just go with the BD.
