If gaming is your major consideration, focus on the graphics processor. Avoid integrated graphics. You should get at least the Geforce 8400M GT or ATI Mobility HD2400 XT. But better gaming performance comes from the Go 7600 GT, 8600M GT and Mobility HD2600. The top GPUs could be outside your budget range.

I would suggest the dell XPSTM M1330 . It is a very good system and those systems can be upgraded very easily , The ghz are alright 1.5 Intel core 2 duo . So in all at peak performance you could get 3,0ghz and they will run very efficiently and cool compared to dual core processors and it also comes with all the lastest feature s. Blue tooth wifi . Your budget doe not allow to much of a very good setup i would push my budget to 1600 that will give you more adequate coverage . But a true website for gaming laptops are alien ware .com . Check it out they ave some of the fastest laptop i have evr seen . They have some running at intel core 2 duos 2.44 ghz grant it that they are 7 pound laptops but still that is a major achievement .

Go here: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=DNCWMA1&s=dhs
and customize for the 8600 video card, 2GB RAM and 2Ghz processor. If gaming is what you are after, for the love of God don't get a laptop. Buy a cheaper, more powerful, more easily upgradable desktop box.
