On my mac when i install applications and when i want to delete them i drag them to the trash and empty the trash but there is still missing space after i delete them and before i installed the applications i had like 95.5gb and then installed a application and i had only 93gb left but i deleted the program and now i only have 94.54gb's left now so wheres the missing space???

Inside the Library folder is another folder called packages. In it is stored the installer program for the application. That is what is taking up the space. Also you should run the repair permissions section of the disk utility program which is in the utlities folder. That'll find any space you have lost.

Did the application come with an installer? You should use the uninstaller if it did. Usually when apps are trashed and deleted there are a few KB worth of files left over, but not as much as your seeing. Search for the applications name with Spotlight and if there are any listed, hover the cursor over one and it'll show the path to the file/folder. Search can also be done with Finder.

Its probobly some hidden stuff that you forgot.

A lot of times, you dont delete all of the app, just the disk image.
